You will work within Worldwide Sustainability and cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Accounting and will present results to senior leadership. You will be responsible for designing and scaling a robust assurance methodology for sustainability disclosures, ensuring that reported data and narrative claims meet the standards required by assurance providers and regulators. You will work closely with sustainability program teams, report owners, science partners, and external assurance providers to validate disclosure content, remediate findings, and strengthen internal controls over sustainability reporting. You will work within Worldwide Sustainability and cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, and Accounting and will present results to senior leadership. To do well in this role, you must be able to navigate complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments and exercise sound judgment in situations of high ambiguity. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of assurance standards (e.g., AICPA, ISSA 5000) and sustainability reporting frameworks, and be able to translate regulatory requirements into actionable internal processes that enhance the credibility and defensibility of Amazon's sustainability disclosures.
