About us
The Middle Six is a Milwaukee-based sales consulting firm. We build and implement HubSpot for small and mid-sized businesses, which means we design their CRM, automate the work behind it, and help them actually use it.
We're a small team, which shapes how we work. You'll know everyone. Your manager will be our HubSpot Director, not a rotating supervisor. And you'll be trusted with real client work, because on a team this size there isn't any other kind.
About this role
We're hiring a part-time HubSpot Specialist to support our HubSpot team and our clients.
You do not need to know HubSpot to apply, and you do not need previous professional experience. We will teach you the platform, and you'll earn HubSpot certifications while you're here that stay on your resume wherever you go next.
What you'll do
- Monitor client Slack channels and answer questions
- Help troubleshoot client issues inside their HubSpot portals
- Log incoming requests as tasks in ClickUp, and complete the ones within your scope
- Flag anything urgent or complex to our HubSpot Director right away
- Keep learning new HubSpot features, betas, and certifications, and share what you find with the team
Skills that will make you good at this
- Learning software quickly and being willing to click around until something makes sense
- Writing clearly and warmly, since most of this job happens in Slack
- Staying organized across several small tasks at once
- Following through without being reminded
- Asking questions instead of guessing, especially when a client is involved
Who should apply
Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program, or recently graduated. Any major. We've seen people do this work well coming from marketing, business, communications, information systems, psychology, and plenty of fields with no obvious connection at all.
If you've taken coursework in marketing, sales, business, or information systems, mention it. If you've done customer service, help desk, or tutoring work, mention that too. If you already hold HubSpot Academy certifications, you'll start at the higher end of the pay range. None of these are required.

What to expect after you apply

- We review applications on a rolling basis and reply to everyone, whether or not we move forward.
- If we move forward, a 30 minute video call with our COO or HubSpot Director. Casual, no technical test, no prep required. We will sent over a 5 minutes assessment before the call.
- A short follow-up conversation with the team.
