## Floorhand Position Nabors is seeking a Floorhand to safely and efficiently provide the manual labor required to operate equipment on the drilling rig floor. This is a hands-on role that plays a critical part in keeping drilling operations running smoothly. ### What You'll Do Your primary responsibilities will include operating tongs and using drilling slips to assemble and disassemble drilling pipe and collars. You'll operate hoists to raise and lower equipment and personnel, and work with hand tools, sledge hammers, and large pipe wrenches to maintain and repair equipment. The position involves a variety of activities in repairing, maintaining, and cleaning rig equipment—this may include chipping and painting, physically moving equipment, mixing chemicals, and greasing, oiling, and washing equipment, walls, and floors. You'll work on the rig floor during tripping operations and operate pipe handling equipment on the drilling location as directed by the Driller. Maintaining good housekeeping on the drilling location, including rig components, offices, and accommodations, is essential. You'll report incidents, equipment failures, system failures, and abnormalities according to company procedures and participate in pre-tour and pre-task meetings. As you gain experience, you may train and mentor new Floorhands as they are assigned to the rig. ### Key Expectations You must understand and comply with the Company Management System requirements, including all policies, procedures, and expectations. You'll be expected to propose recommendations for improvements to company systems and practices. Everyone on the rig has the responsibility, authority, and obligation to interrupt an operation if a condition or behavior is observed that could cause harm to people, assets, or the environment—this is known as stop work authority, and acting on this understanding is required. You'll identify hazards in the workplace and report them to the Driller. Working under the direction of the Driller and/or Rig Manager, you'll perform maintenance and repairs on rig equipment as directed. ### Requirements You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
