You will communicate with carriers, drivers, customers, and operations teammates to keep shipment activity visible, organized, and moving toward scheduled delivery. This is a fully remote, work from home position based in New York, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary. Job Responsibilities: • Monitor incoming dispatch requests through phone calls, emails, and a contact-center phone system such as Aircall, identifying shipment, location, timing, and contact details.• Review assigned shipment details in a transportation management system such as McLeod, checking delivery schedules, route notes, carrier information, and current status.• Enter concise shipment updates, contact outcomes, and next steps in a spreadsheet such as LibreOffice Calc for organized daily visibility.• Contact carriers and drivers to confirm pickup progress, location updates, delivery timing, and changes that may affect planned schedules.• Communicate accurate status updates to customers and operations teammates, using clear language and sharing known timing information.• Coordinate schedule changes with carriers, drivers, and the operations team while keeping all involved contacts informed of revised plans.• Use a project management platform such as Wrike to organize follow-up tasks, note pending actions, and maintain visibility across active shipments.• Follow up on shipments without a recent update, confirm the current situation, and record the outcome and planned next contact.• Escalate delayed pickups, missed delivery windows, unavailable contacts, or conflicting updates to the operations team lead for direction.• Maintain quality through accurate shipment information, timely turnaround, complete notes, and consistent follow-up on open dispatch activities.
