This remote, nationwide commercial role is dedicated to expanding the firm's front‐end semiconductor materials footprint across North America.
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive – Semiconductor Materials drives new customer qualification and commercial adoption of high‐purity chemical products—specifically etching agents and gases utilized in front‐end semiconductor chip fabrication.
In this role, you will bridge technical and procurement requirements, navigating customer qualification lifecycles from initial technical evaluation to commercial handoff. You will partner with internal global engineering, regulatory, and logistics teams, as well as customer‐side procurement and quality assurance departments.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Engagement & Product Qualification
- Engage Tier-1 and Tier-2 semiconductor manufacturers and wafer fabs to secure procurement and technical buy‐in for sample evaluation, experimental testing, and material qualification.
- Negotiate and align on rigorous product specifications directly with customer quality assurance and engineering teams.
- Partner closely with regional sales teams during early‐stage development, executing structured handoffs as accounts transition to routine commercial supply.
- Represent the organization at major semiconductor trade exhibitions, technical symposia, and standard‐development industry consortiums.
Supply Chain, Cost Modeling & Logistics Coordination
- Build cost simulation models factoring in international freight, tariffs, hazardous material handling, customs clearance, and duty structures for products imported from global manufacturing sites.
- Partner with US factory teams (planning, operations, and QA) to define operational protocols for specialized chemical warehousing, packaging, and safe handling.
- Coordinate cross‐border product flows and operational schedules with global corporate counterparts.
Regulatory Compliance & Technical Governance
- Maintain full alignment with relevant US chemical regulatory frameworks, including TSCA reporting, import allowances, and environmental health and safety (EHS) mandates.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging front‐end chip manufacturing technologies to identify new product and portfolio opportunities.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Background: Minimum 5+ years of commercial or technical experience within the semiconductor industry (7+ years preferred).
- Technical Domain: Demonstrated domain expertise in sales, business development, or procurement of specialty chemicals/materials used in front‐end wafer fabrication (specifically etching agents, gases, or wet chemicals).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a closely related technical discipline from an accredited university. (Master's degree is a plus).
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally for customer visits, audits, and trade conferences.
