The Opportunity
As a Remote Corporate Communications Coordinator in Aviation, you will provide operational and content support to Southwest's Corporate Communications team, helping to manage the full lifecycle of communication projects — from drafting and editing to scheduling, publishing, and measuring effectiveness. You will work alongside communications managers on both routine and time-sensitive messaging needs, and your organizational precision will be as valuable as your editorial instincts.
Your Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and proofread internal communications including employee newsletters, executive announcements, and department updates
- Coordinate the content calendar for Southwest's internal and external communications channels
- Support media relations activities including press release drafting, media inquiry tracking, and press kit maintenance
- Manage the logistics of town halls, virtual press briefings, and executive communication events
