Our Operation's workflow has three major components: First mile - where the product is housed and ready for order; Middle mile - where the order is hauled to your area; and Last mile - when the product is delivered to the customer's door. Responsibilities Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives meet and exceed business plan. Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of their facilities. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds leaders accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network. Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Safety and other leaders) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives. Additional Job Elements Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, walking in the facility and around area with great frequency; some facilities are over a quarter mile in length Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation, including chilled and frozen spaces with great frequency Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation) Ability to travel 50% of the time Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience 7+ years of direct leadership/supervisory experience Experience in performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean methodologies Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field Experience working with changing priorities and schedules Experience developing or delivering training programs across multiple sites or regions, or experience with technical writing Experience in dealing with contingent workforce Experience prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
