The Asset Personalization Platform team is dedicated to developing high-throughput, low-latency systems that deliver personalized assets in real-time to Netflix UI clients. This team of distributed systems engineers collaborates with a wide array of cross-functional teams, including Content Creative teams, Machine Learning researchers, Product Management, Product Design, Data Engineering, and various product and client engineering teams.
To realize our vision, we are seeking an engineering leader to guide our team in developing a product platform that enables the rapid creation of innovative and personalized member experiences. This leader will be instrumental in advancing our asset personalization systems and driving Netflix's success. We are looking for someone who is technically proficient and can cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment, mentoring a diverse team of engineers, including experienced engineers and newcomers.
The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker focused on enhancing our architecture to unlock new product capabilities and drive business impact. Above all, this leader should embody Netflix's core values, promoting creativity, curiosity, and excellence. What we are looking for in you: An engineering leader with 4+ years of experience leading backend distributed systems teams.
Strong technical acumen and ability to act as a technical advisor to the team. Experience building and operating distributed systems with a direct impact on the customer experience. Experience building product platforms is a bonus.
A passion for improving consumer experiences through strong partnerships with product leaders, ability to influence product direction and roadmaps. A track record of hiring diverse, highly talented engineers and growing successful, highly impactful teams. Excellence in communicating context with the team, stakeholders, partners, and leadership.
Ability to drive the team's roadmap by connecting the dots between your team's work and business needs, managing expectations, and navigating competing priorities. Domain experience with personalization, AB testing, machine learning, cloud computing, and Java. A BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline. Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.
To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $436,000.00 - $791,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location
